Visage Imaging is pleased to announce the maintenance release 5.2.2 of Amira. This release provides a number of enhancements and bug fixes to Amira that increase its efficiency, ease of use and robustness.

• MPEG generation on Mac OS X - MovieMaker now supports the output of movies in MPEG format on Mac OS X.
• Improved handling of microscopy data - Leica LIF and Olympus OIF/OIB import as well as saving multi-channel data in networks have been improved.
