This is Ext411-01-libamiramesh. It provides a standalone version of libamiramesh, a library allowing you to read and write files in the AmiraMesh file format used by Amira. You need this library if you want to support the AmiraMesh file format in your own programs.

The archive also contains the standalone command line utility aminfo, which allows you to extract the header information of an AmiraMesh file or to convert between ASCII and binary format.

 

To convert binary AmiraMesh into ASCII type in a console window:
aminfo -a binary.am > ascii.am

To convert ASCII AmiraMesh into binary type in a console window:
aminfo -b ascii.am > binary.am
